Cedarwood
Scent description: Klinta’s Cedarwood Oil is much appreciated for its antiseptic and soothing properties - but only by people! Because for moths, silverfish, carpet beetles and other pests, it smells nothing less than revolting and they go and find somewhere else with a nicer odour to live instead. The oil has been used against pests for hundreds of years and we experience it as a fresh and pleasant fragrance. What we call a win-win!
Klintas Fragrance Oils is really a super tool for you who like to scent your everyday life. Klintas Fragrance Oils are exactly the same exclusive fragrances you find in our candles and fragrance sticks, but in a much more concentrated version and thus also with adjustable effect and more areas of use.
The difference between an essential oil and a perfume oil: Essential oils are drawn directly from the plant world as with our lavender fragrance where lavender flowers have been distilled down to a pure, natural essential oil. Or our lemongrass fragrance where the essential oil is the result of cold-pressing the raw material. Essential oils can be used in aromatherapy. Lavender for example is relaxing while citrus is uplifting. A huge amount of raw material is needed to produce essential oils: a 10ml bottle of Lavender Scented Oil requires 1.3kg of lavender flowers! And the fragrances are fantastic. Essential oils are often used in cuisine, confectionary, perfumes and, like we do at Klinta, in candles and diffusers! Our perfume oils are a blend of many different ingredients, including essential oils, that together create a fragrance that arouses a feeling of something, for example Bubbly & Pink Grapefruit. It is very difficult, to say the least, to distill sparkling wine to obtain an essential fragrance! So instead we mix a number of different components, sometimes 100s of them, that together give a sense of ‘Bubbly’ and of luxury. Never use the oil directly on the skin. It may have been made for skincare but must always be diluted.
